Takuma Saito investigates microstructural evolution and oxide layer growth in Single-Crystal Ni-base Superalloys. He came to our chair as a postdoc from Japan. There, he completed his doctoral thesis on single-crystal Ni-base superalloys at NIMS in Tsukuba. In Bochum, he works on a DFG-funded transfer project related to SFB/TR 103, in collaboration with materials researchers from MTU Aero Engines in Munich.
