On September 28, 2026, Gunther Eggeler and Till Schneiders hosted the events for the DGM Day in Darmstadt, at which the award winners of the German Materials Society were honored. Among these awardees were our partners Prof. Martin Heilmaier, who received the Heyn Medal, and Dr. Antje Dollmann, who was awarded the Young Talent Prize. Subsequently, we were able to present numerous contributions at the MSE Congress from September 29 to October 1, showcasing our current research on Ni-base superalloys, alternative high-temperature materials, shape memory materials, high-entropy alloys, and high-strength steels. Vida Khalili received an award for her poster on biodegradable, coated Mg-base alloys.
